Ficom Leisure advises Colombian B2C online betting and gaming company Colbet on sale of 70% shareholding to Betsson AB
Nicosia, Cyprus, Jul. 21, 2020 – Ficom Leisure acted as the exclusive strategic advisor to Colbet S.a.S. in the sale of 70% shareholding to Betsson AB which complies with the local Sport betting laws.
Colbet is an online and mobile licensed betting and gaming operator in Colombia. Colbet was one of the first to acquire an online license in 2017 in the online regulated Colombian market. Pontus Lindwall, President and CEO of Betsson AB commented that this deal will give them access to the Colombian licensed market for online sport betting and casino.
Ficom Leisure assisted the Colbet shareholders in initiating the transaction, structuring the deal and advised through negotiations, due-diligence and final closing. Despite the lockdown and flight restrictions due to COVID, the deal was closed at a distance.
